B. K. Mody Government Pharmacy College is managed under the aegis of Commissionerate of Technical Education, Government of Gujarat. The college offers Master of Pharmacy, Bachelor of Pharmacy as well as Diploma in Pharmacy program with a combined intake of 625 students. The sanctioned intake has prior approval Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi and all sanctioned programs have been affiliated with GTU (Gujarat Technological University). College has separate building for M. Pharm. Also, 10 new laboratories are constructed with grant of Rs. 4.98 crore from Government of Gujarat. College has been awarded with Centre for “Student Start-up and Innovative Policy” by Government of Gujarat and sanctioned Rs. 20 lakhs with sanctioned letter no. GKS/SSIP 2.0/Grant/2024-25/301 dated 31/01/2025. The college also having facilities of boy’s hostel with capacity of 76 rooms and girls’ hostel with capacity of 46 rooms. Additionally, new floor at Girls Hostel is constructed with grant of Rs. 1.5 Crore. B. K. Mody Government Pharmacy College is Ranked in band of 100-125 by National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), MHRD, New Delhi for year 2022 and B. Pharm. program has been re-accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for 3 years i.e. 2020-23 onward by approval letter no. F. No. 20-91- 2016-NBA dated 03/07/2020. The college is located at a distance less than 6 km from major public transport with City bus transport facility. Under able leadership of Principal and HOD, Dr. Ashvin V. Dudhrejiya along with total teaching staff of 28 out of which 25 faculty members with Ph.D. Degree, the college offers modern educational facilities like advanced instrumentation lab, machine room, wi-fi facilities throughout campus, medicinal plant garden, museum, animal house, computer lab, e-corner, audio-visual lectures on LCD projectors. The college has nurtured the excellent research environment and as a result in last 5 years faculties and students have filed 12 patents; and one patent granted at Indian Patent Office and published more than 210 research paper and 6 books. College organized 01 International Seminar, 02 National Seminar, 02 National level training Program and 12 State Level Workshops. Faculties of this college are actively engaged in research and consultancy work to cater the need for the regional industries i.e. in last four years we completed 09 consultancy project, 05 on-going project sponsored by GUJCOST worth more than Rs. 13.00 lakhs and 28 on going SSIP projects. The institute is also granted SSIP 2.0 projects and granted Rs 200 lakhs for Five years. The college takes pride of its prestigious alumni spread across the length and the breadth of the country as well other prominent countries of world and during last two financial year they contributed about Rs. 2.5 lakhs in various activity of college. The college has goal of harnessing the intellectual potential of student and improve the performance of students at university level and national level examination, as well as improve job employability. The Placement cells of college is actively guiding the students and arrange the campus interview by inviting various pharmaceutical companies and average about 60% students has been placed in reputed organization. The institute houses sufficient number of sophisticated instruments, for fostering research and development activities at under graduate as well as post graduate level. The college has tied up with Zydus Cadila, Ahmedabad; NFDD Centre Saurashtra University, Rajkot; R. K. University, Rajkot; B. T. Savani Kidney Hospital, Rajkot etc., which help student for various research and learning activity.
